The general manager of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Iva Hraste-Sočo, PhD has been elected as one of the board members of Opera Europa, the largest European association of opera and ballet theatres.

After exceptionally successful events co-organised by the CNT in Zagreb and Opera Europa in Zagreb in March in which more than 70 general managers, business directors, producers, and opera experts from around the world took part, a conference for the development of audiences took place in Vienna between April 11 and April 14, 2024. Almost 500 participants, mostly general managers, producers, and opera professionals gathered in Vienna in order to present examples of good practice and exchange knowledge on this extremely significant topic for the future of the performing arts.

At the general assembly of Opera Europa held on Friday, April 12, 2024, Dr Iva Hraste-Sočo was elected as a board member. This is a continuation of the positioning of the main Croatian theatre in the European cultural circle. During the conference she participated in the panel discussion dedicated to the presentation of examples of good practice relating to the development of partnerships with the private sector. The efforts of the CNT in Zagreb have been recognised on a European level and the cooperation with the Mplus company, that second year in row offers substantial support in the improvement of the CNT in Zagreb user experience was presented.
